Ginger Dragon
2005 - Website by F Ranieri, Design Co-ordinator S Pearman

Ginger Dragon commissioned a clean, professional website to reflect the high quality of its products and the nature of its business.

The cultural importance of the colour green to China where the ginger is farmed, as well as the colour's importance to the Ginger Dragon brand meant it became a key design cue.

We worked closely with Ginger Dragon's Managing Director who provided a wealth of personal photographs to illustrate the website content, and even one of his treasured paintings - which has been used as the website's background image.

Structure and content-organisation was particularly important for this website so we chose a stylish drop-down menu system which has controlled the large volume of information, and left room for the site to expand and develop without reducing the accessability of its information.

Spice Tree - trademark of Ginger Dragon
2008 - Website Update undertaken by M Liepins

With the addition of a new product range - Spice Tree chutneys and pickles - Ginger Dragon comissioned a new page design for its Spice Tree products (pictured left). These pages were incorporated into the Ginger Dragon website to which a new logo has been added. During the update process Maija also brought the website source code up to W3C Standard - a valuable investment that will improve its accesability and adaptability.

CWA Consulting

2005 - Design by S Pearman, Code by M Jaquiery

The brief for the CWA website was to create a website that matched the firm's existing b usiness cards.

To counterbalance the somewhat dry nature of their website content (accounting information) CWA wanted the design to be structurally attractive and interesting.

We think we achieved an interesting structure with our use of lines, choosing to add interest with sliding buttons and also the "Contact Us" image which acts as both a button and a design feature.

Overseas Homes

2005 - Website by M Jaquiery, Menu Design by S Pearman

This company developed a clear idea of what they did and didn't want by researching their competitors' websites. This research informed a sparse and simple site design that showcases their properties without any distraction or crowding.

Pixink's special contribution to the site design was the idea for its menu feature which uses a combination of black&white and colour images to highlight each menu-option when a visitor selects it, or hovers the cursor above it. This shows that we can always find a creative way to add additional interest and character to your website presence.

The Landford Poacher
2006 - Design by M Liepins, Code by M Liepins & Jack

This website was designed for a lovely pub near the New Forest. The interior decor - rich reds, dark woods, peach coloured carnations and soft lighting - informed the colours we chose for the design, while the font was selected to match the Poacher's menus.

Pixink visited the pub to take the first lot of photographs for the website using our own camera, and as text and page detail was provided in a prompt and structured way, this website was a straightforward build. On visiting the website you will notice we chose a basic slide-show for the index page and we continue to work closely with the pub who provide a regular stream of new images and text to keep the website fresh and up to date.

Sandydown Bodyworks
2006 - Website by M Liepins, Animation by S Pearman, Javascript by Jack

Sandydown Bodyworks first approached us with a very loose brief and minimal site content. Between us we settled on a simple design, with their logo taking pride of place in a moving banner along at the top of each page. The logo was animated using javascript.

Since the website was built Sandydown Bodyworks has changed management and the website has been given a new lease of life. The new proprietors have provided us with lots more images and they now furnish the site alongside their updated text - proving, in our opinion, that the quality of the content provided by the customer will greatly contribute to the overall effect of a website.

2008 - New Colour Scheme by M Liepins

The new colour scheme was chosen to suit the preferences of Sandydown's new management.

Customer Comment: "This looks great! The colour scheme is so much better and I feel looks more professional. Thank you for this! Love the layout, its much more logical."

Pet Pic Animal Photography
2007 - Design by M Liepins, Code by M Liepins & Jack

This website design has a simple structure but employs a user-friendly gallery system to showcase our client's photographs: the gallery is programed to pick up images and display them automatically which allows Pet Pic Animal Photography the independence to upload new images into folders without assistance from Pixink. Features like this increase the build-time, but when they increase the success and functionality of your website they are well worth the wait. The order form is also connected the gallery system so that while browsing the gallery you can add your chosen images to the order form, which you get the chance to edit at a later date in order to specify what products the image(s) will be printed on.

The original design included a three-tier galley system but this was simplified for greater ease of use.

Customer Comment: "Thanks again for all your hard work - I really do appreciate it."
